STEP 9 — Prep the Parchment Sling

While the oven preheats:

  1. Take a sheet of parchment, fold in half, and cut along the fold so you have two equal strips.
  2. Lay them on the counter in a plus-sign / X shape — these will form a cradle around the boule with four "handles" sticking out.
  3. Place an inverted sheet tray (bottom-up) over the parchment X.
